It was in Dell's interest, I suppose, to confuse matters as much as possible about Hitchcock's involvement with these anthos, and to all appearances they have succeeded well. But the best-ofs from AHMM were always at least good (and C. B. Gilford or someone similar could usually be counted upon for a horror story in the mix of crime fiction) and the Arthur and Harold Q.
