European Cinema for... Mother's Day?

Not that my mother (or my father) were or are particularly fond of (nor averse to) European films, if they didn't have to read subtitles...nor do they read my blog...so...this little freshet of satirical, mildly experimental work from the period in which my mother was first becoming a mother...

"Surrogate" aka "Ersatz" (1961; Academy Award 1962)

Who Are You, Polly Magoo? (1966) (for some reason, this one has a tendency to balk at starting properly, so you might want to pop it out to Watch on YouTube...where it also might balk temporarily before starting...)

"Dirty Girl" aka "Santa Lucia of Sanne Lucia" (1966) (some of the images in this film assembled from still photography, with a soundtrack devoted in part to Charles Mingus, are NSFW)
