In comparison, a post about Drake's, Hostess and Little Debbie package cakes is easily my most popular, with 7507 hits at this hour (as measured by Blogger's rather wonky counters, which tend to disagree with each other when looked at from different angles); the next highest are one on KCET Los Angeles quitting PBS and joining a small number of independent US public stations (however, a still of Emmy Rossum in a t-shirt, illustrating a quick review of Shameless US, is clearly the driver there) at 5140 and a piece on the tv series Satisfaction, Gravity and the rather better Party Down at 2750. ReplyDeleteGreat numbers, Todd! I wonder how the hits about books and magazines compare with those for movies and music. I am guessing books are ahead in the numbers game. I enjoy reading about anthologies even if I don't actually get to read them as often as I'd like. A couple of new bookstores in Mumbai have set up Anthology sections but there's nothing to write home about. I have had better luck in used bookshops.
ReplyDeletePrashant, your guess is largely correct, though as noted some of the television/web video posts have seen a preponderance of hits. (THIS AMERICAN WIFE posts, for example, also have done very well.)
ReplyDeleteAt any given time, the used books have it all over the new ones, in terms (at least) of the exoticism of the anthologies one is likely to find...
