I hadn't heard about Pohl's passing - still have great memories of the GATEWAY series - what a great innings he had - thanks Todd.
ReplyDeleteHe did, indeed.
ReplyDeleteJust posted mine. And I too learned about his passing only now.
ReplyDeleteI'm back and my film is posted, Todd. In case you didn't notice and why should you? I know I've been gone forever, but that was then and this is now. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, folks...and I would've checked, Yvette, but it's a strange day.
ReplyDeleteI eagerly read all those Pohl and Kornbluth collaborations when I was a kid. Classics!
ReplyDeleteI wrote a magazine article once about infamous book thieves that featured Hasford and his ill-gotten collection. What a strange and troubled man. I was sorry to hear about Pohl. Too many losses lately.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. I've been kept from FFBing this week by some near-losses that feel too close to the complete deal, rather more close to home.
ReplyDeleteQuite a crop this run-through! You read a lot of noce stuff, methinks. I remember a particularly odd Pohl-obsessed summer about 30 years ago; funny, I hadn't thought about it until just now. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, as usual!
