  8. Oh, is it "pitch-hitting"? Huh. All these years I've said pinch hitting... I'm just an ignoramus when it comes to baseball (and all professional sports, for that matter). I thought of the term without even realizing that George beat me to it. And he did it correctly.

  9. Well, the term is actually "pinch-hitter" (since one is usually helping out in a pinch), but pitch would certainly make more immediate sense...and, thanks!
