This is my first exposure to Partch -- I wonder if he was familiar with Moondog's work, and vice versa? Chris Connor and Sheila Jordan are both great, of course.

Glad to give you a sense of his work...and I would be surprised if Partch and Moondog were unaware of each other. Don't know if they ever did any sort of collaboration.

Yup, the jazz singers did all kinds of good work...
