A day memorializing a man who sought to use the rights we are promised to ensure that we actually have and can use them, and to increase the access to the promises of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Not a man who worked alone to do this, nor one who was perfect in any way, but certainly the most deserving of the individuals to whom this country has dedicated a political holiday.
I remember when some states wanted to call it Lee-Jackson-King Day, after two Civil War generals, if they were to tolerate or accept it at all. Old stupidity dies really hard.

Freedom is fleeting but hatred and ignorance are eternal. Sigh.
Hotel spam in Hebrew. Hm. the Hebrew message of some weeks back was a stalking horse, apparently.
Recently came across this cite and would like make it known that the man who wrote waiting for nothing is my Great Great Uncle. Whatever you might have taken from this book positive or negative you must remember that this was in time of survival and would make any man or women to set aside their beliefs and morals to make it another day. The easiest thing to do would be to off yourself and then, "that man would have nothing to wait for." (Tom Kromer, 1968) This book has opened my eyes to new and better way of living my life. Yes, this hit me a little hard since, it is family so, I feel closer than ever to the author.
