I always liked Fanny's "Charity Ball" and their daring-for-its-time "Butter Boy."

In addition to being one of the few rock musicians to also be a Holocaust survivor, Goldie Zelkowitz of Goldie & the Gingerbreads later became Genya Ravan of 10 Wheel Drive and even later producer of Ronnie Spector's "Siren" album.

Yes, and it's remarkable how many "historians" want to insist that Fanny was the first all-women rock band to sign with a major, when it was the Gingerbreads, with Philips. Here's a decent clip with Ravan in the late '70s in the midst of her producing years (and presumably serving as partial inspiration for the film LAUREL CANYON), albeit with a typical intro for tv news of the time: http://youtu.be/01T-u4-5jig
